Morning!
We want to hike to the tide pools but I am unsure as to where the "trail head" starts. Would anyone be willing to help me out with some directions? I would be forever grateful 🙂
Thank you all!

At Camabola. Ask the guard he / she can direct you, it is past the tennis courts. At the top of the hill, the trail goes straight or veers left. Go LEFT!!! Going straight is the shortcut but very hard. We had to hold on to Tan-Tan to keep from falling down the hill.

Please be careful with the high seas and breaking waves. You may want to wait for a calmer day to explore as people can and do get swept off rocks.

It's a great hike! Be aware 2.7 miles one way up and down, up and down. Takes about an hour one way. Bring water and use extreme caution getting around rocks to pools. Best to have a guide with you for the first trip. It's doable but part of the trail gets a bit tricky as someone mentioned .When you get to a sort of road, turn right, you are almost there. You may see an arrow formed from rocks to point you in the right direction. Good luck, have fun. The pools are beautiful and well worth the hike.

This is a great hike. I would suggest getting an early start. Use common sense at the pools. Carambola gave us a map (aka photo copy of drawing) Bring water, hat bug spray and a camera. I've run it 2x at daybreak. Good work out. Varied terrain spectaular views at the end. have fun.

It is a wonderful hike, but the seas are extremely rough. Be very, very careful. When something goes wrong at the tidepools, it goes very wrong. As beautiful as it may be, the surf and those rocks are extremely unforgiving.

Oh, walk to the back of carambola, by the tennis courts. Youll see the entrance there. Follow it- half mile later, in the tall grass, look for the sneaky left turn.
