Has anyone spent extended time on Trinidad? My neighbors may be taking a 18 month position there. They have never been out of the US, except for a few days in Mexico.
Does anyone know if there is a message board dealing with Trinidad?
I have already told him to do a PMV.
Thanks

I worked in Tobago and spent time in Trinidad. Never was able to find any kind of message board.

Your neighbors are in for some real culture shock. Very, very hot, very third-world, lots of crime and no work ethic.
Great scuba diving in Tobago, though. That's about it.

Angela, did you ever go diving with Dive Tobago out near Pigeon Point? I worked there one season many years ago. That is when I fell in love with the islands, and changed my life to make it possible to move to the Caribbean to live!
I only spent a couple of days in Trinidad. The hotel where I stayed had a guard with a machine gun, which I found a little scary. Some of the expats were living in compound housing because of security issues.
