Hey folks (new and old to STX),

I wanted to share the info about a recurring game of Ultimate Frisbee we have scheduled every Monday and Thursday on the front field of UVI, St. Croix. We show up between 4:30-5:00pm and play until dark (about 6:30 this time of year).

This is co-ed, all ages, and not too competitive. You are asked to bring a light and a dark shirt, a bottle of water and a smile. That's it!

We have all levels of skill represented, so if you think you can throw and catch a frisbee, you are more than welcome to come out and meet some great folks, AND get some great cardio workout.

Hope to see some new faces out there soon.

Charlie

I love this game... I wish I was 20 years younger and still had knees that would let me run more than 10 steps (of course it'd also help if I were on island). With constant breezes, you have to be pretty skilled to get that frisbee going anywhere near on-target. Put bandaids on the middle finger of your throwing hand to keep from getting frisbee-finger.

Sorry Trade! Dogs are not welcome on campus. My frisbee does have a few holes though from my dogs at home. (we use a crisp one for the games)

and ENG, as I said....all ages welcome...I hear you though about the knees, that's probably the #1 reason given for not being able to play. I'm no spring chicken, I'm actually trying to keep my so-so knees in shape so I don't reach that point anytime soon. As for the winds, they haven't been too much of a problem. Only once have we moved the game around to the side field due to wind. besides, both teams have to deal with it. Practice has improved our skills tremendously!

Still, all are welcome to come out and participate.
