I AM A RETIRED US MILITARY SERVICE MEMBER AND HAVE A PARTIAL MILITARY DISBILITY AND USE THE VA MEDICAL FACILITIES. MY QUESTION, ARE THERE ANY VA MEDICAL FACILITIES OR SUPPORT IN THE USVI's SHOULD WE RETIRE THERE?

Donald: There is a VA outpatient clinic on St Thomas that is overtaxed. Most procedures will send you to Puerto Rico, although they occasionally pay for something at the local hospital. There are two numbers for the VA clinic on St Thomas: 340-774-6674 and 776-7072. Check out the on-line papers tomorrow as they did a ground-breaking for a new veteran's facility today. The online papers are : www.virginislandsdailynews.com and www.stthomassource.com.
