Moving with a devout vegetarian. Can anyone tell me if the restaurants on STX are veggie friendly? Or is all beef and seafood?

Pretty much everywhere has veggie dishes on the menu. There are lots of vegetarians and vegans on the island.

I am vegetarian, and I can say its a reasonably ok place to be one. Their are places that have strictly vegetarian food (health concious, Vegetarian Creation, Kalima Center) but most of the "in" places will have your standard pasta entree. A great place for him/her to go is southgate farms where they have formed a co-op that we all order vegetarian food (groceries) at great prices together.

Take care,
Lindsay

The Brew Pub just changed its menu and the "lunch- pub fare" is now somewhat weighted towards veggie alternatives. I had the black bean quesadillas and they were great... lots of food and I was stuffed.
