My wife and I just purchased a house in Coral Bay. We are now researching vehicle insurance companies. We both have perfect driving records, only one deer strike in the last 10years on record. She got a quote from Guardian for $5700.00 per year for two new Toyota’s, 2023 4Runner and 2023 Tacoma. Anyone have another company to try. Thanks in advance.

If you"re a veteran USAA does a good job.

Wow...that's so cheap! I'm with Guardian too.

When I was checking around for auto insurance I finally had one person tell me that for auto insurance companies locally, they are all underwritten by the same place.  They is why you don’t see much of a difference between local quotes.  I have a buddy who has USSA and it is quite a bit cheaper than anything I’ve seen locally.

I agree that’s not a bad price for the island.  I live on STX and pay $6,700 for our two vehicles, a 2018 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited and a 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk.  My neighbor uses USAA and pays about 1/3 of what we pay for fairly similar vehicles.

both our vehicles are garaged and aren’t even used for half the year.

I’m definitely looking into reducing my coverage next year.  No point in paying for anything other liability insurance at these rates.  I pay half this amount for our vehicles in Massachusetts, which are more expensive and newer SUV’s.

We self-insure for windstorms as that incremental cost was $25K, 5 years ago when we got a quote as we were buying our place.  Our home was built in 1968 and has seen many storms, large and small, without catastrophic damage.  Basically just landscape and minor water damage.

I have USAA for our jeep and it's very affordable versus rates on the mainland.  I use Guardian for hurricane insurance as USAA doesn't offer that coverage on island.
