Oh no, we are at it again...

Did y'all know that as of Oct 1st, there is now only one place for ALL Police Officers to get thier gas if they don't want to pay for it thierselves?

Yes, It's true. ALL VIPD vehicles can now only fill thier tanks at LOVE Station in Princess area. Yes, that means even the guys/gals on the Frederiksted beat...They will have to drive to Princess, wait in line behind and with all other government vehicles and VITRAN. Hopefully, they won't be dispatched to a Frederiksted location that won't need them to be there timely...did you know that the commissioners family owns the station with the government contract...and that VIPD officers could use Amigo's and Shuama before Francis became commissioner?

How 'bout the recent firing of our Director of Training for VIPD. Man, this guy was great...federal background and stringent values. Yep, he was fired last week, though he actually tried to resign prior to getting fired. BUT, if the new commissioner had lost his Director of Training before he was confirmed, that would not have looked so good during confirmation...

Y'all know about Bert Bryan? Well, he can never walk with a gun again. So, what's the next best thing??? Have his daughter, Andrea McIntosh, be the Assistant Director of Internal Affairs for VPD. Yeppo...there never was that position until the new commissioner took control...and yeppo...the position is not needed...unless of course she can get the investigator who was shot at a few days ago to actually "investigate" the shooting...it's been brushed off since they have no suspects in the incident...*-)

And what about the word on the street that the commissioner wants to get rid of Chief Benta and Deputy Chief Howell! Where would we be without these two diehard men doing the right thing and dedicating thier time and lives to change?

Wow...we could be in for some rocky times ahead...and we thought it was bad now...jeesh...what's next?

It is not unusual for government to contract with one vendor for supplies, in this case presumably gasoline. I assume they put it out for bid and this station was the lowest.

Gov't did use Lionel right beside the AVIS;also VITRAN Buses and the Fire Dept vehicles; it's been so for years and no one seemed to care or notice.

At least it's locally owned.

One Love and the one across from the Canageta Ballpark are the only two remaining.

Gov has rules that they call sole source requirements. Could no other venders meet the requirements to supply gas ? Use the screwed up system, all of the venders should file a class action Law suit. I know your in the VI,but rules are rules .

With the reputation the VI Gov't has of slow pay/no pay to vendors, maybe no one wanted the contract/

Several years ago a travel agency here on STT folded because they did the airline tix for the government because the government didn't pay.

I know quite a few here on STX that folded because of that exact reason.
