So many mosquitoes out East (STX) with not much of a breeze to blow them away. I hope the trades kick in.

I wonder where our new road striper machine is. They had a thing on the govt channel a couple of months ago showing the truck and the men all good to go. Ha anyone seen any new lines on the roads?

There hearing about the Gov's Home improvements looks like it is going to get nasty. We'll see how good deJonge is CYA.
The testifiers looked like professional tap dancers whirling around meaningless answers.

Sheeesh, I totally spaced. I guess I just got excited when I heard about the new machine, maybe they don't have any paint or lost the keys, but lines really would be a huge plus especially at night and for the visitors and our creative intersections, like Bastian Triangle and Beston Hill
Remenber when the Casino first opened and the East End had new lines and those reflectors glued to the road, that was great.

Bugs are bad, where's the wind? But it is wonderfully green with the Ginger Thomas just starting to get colorfull.

The yellow flowered shrub that's grows everywhere there is bush. You can coax them into a kind of a small tree. About 4 years ago all the hills out eat where covered with the yellow flowers, it was crazy beautiful.

Maybe they took the 's' and put it on the sign that said "Construction Begin" !!! Or, for shits and giggles go on the Innovative site and read those grammatical errors! Doesn't anyone proof read or at least spell check?

I felt it on STX. I thought the cat had jumped on the couch, but she was no where around. My daughter-in-law was sitting on the bed and she said she thought someone had pushed the bed.

So that's what that was! 😮 I have only been here three weeks, and I thought there was something in my sofa. I jumped up after it quit, only lasted seconds.
I went to picking the end of my sofa up , drop it. Looked under cushions. I was afraid to set on my sofa, till I found the critter in it.
Wow, a small earthquake, do we get those often on STT?

I guess I can go back to the sofa now.

They're not infrequent but that one didn't last any time at all.

I have two very sweet student teachers that we are hosting on stx. They have been here for 2 weeks and their first day here they were taken to Ha Penny beach and the car was broken into and their money and cell phones were stolen. Nobody told them not to leave valuables in the car. They just came to stay with us today and my goal is to make their experience here so nice that they will want to come back. Their first two weeks has been horrible. JJ is totally in love with them and keeps sneaking over to the cottage to visit. Tonight he got into hubby's cologne so he would smell good. So funny how much he loves the girls at 6 years old.

That's so cute. Did he drown himself in the cologne? It's a shame the girls' car got burgled. Where are they from?

Yes Trade, he did drown himself. I couldn't breathe in the car on the way out to dinner. I wanted to throw him out on the side of the road as did the girls as he asked them repeatedly did he smell good. I will work on teaching him that less is more. He is such a smart little boy until he is around females and then he becomes brain damaged. He was, however, wonderful at dinner, quiet and polite. When we got home he gathered up all his favorite movies for them to watch and then asked me if he could spend the night with them to watch them.

The girls are from Maryland eastern shore. They were so sad and wanting to go home but made a commitment and trying to honor it. It will be ok because I am such a mom and that is what they needed. Sigh. I am so tired of being a mom. Tomorrow I am going to take them to Fredricksted so they can jump off the pier then off to another beach to snorkel.

In our house it was "eat every bean & pea on your plate." :@) My Dad hated rice & used the excuse that there were too many starving Chinese. That didn't work for me when I didn't want to eat something, though.

And don't forget to tell them to always wear clean underwear. So embarrassing if you get hit by a car and have to go to the hospital!!! (More mom wisdom)...
