You know that insulation foam that expands when you spray it around pipe openings and things like that.....? Any ideas on how to get it off your skin? I have tried goo gone, mineral spirits, nail polish remover, cooking oil, jergens lotion and soap and water. Help!!!

I got superglue stuck on me last year, I tried nail polish remover--both kinds, WD-40, peanut butter (this from the web) nothing took it off. Finally I put my hand in warm soapy water and watched tv for an hour or so. I found I could slowly peel it off under the water. I know this is a different product you're working with, but maybe this would work for you?

Sweat it off seems to be the answer. Thank you all. I have been washing and pumicing (word?) all day, and it is helping. When I go to bed, I plan to vaseline up and put on the gloves. LOL! You know, I actually won a Halloween contest once dressed as a construction worker. May be a shoo- in this year.

Today was the most incredible day. Our most heartfelt thanks to stxem for making it possible. Today Sandy, a hawks bill sea turtle who was attacked by feral dogs on Sandy Point a year ago, while laying her eggs, was released today, back on Sandy Point. She has spent the last year at a sea turtle hospital on Marathon Key, Florida, after surgery, recovering from her injuries. We had the opportunity to visit the turtle hospital this summer where she was recuperating. The other day we learned that she was being flown back to St. Croix to be released and stxem made it possible for us to be there to witness her release. My husband actually got to help carry her to the water. She did so good and began to swim immediately. She knew she was back home and will come back to lay more eggs.

Today a seed was planted. All who were present to witness her release will spread the word on protecting these incredibly beautiful creatures. Keep our beaches clean. Discarded fishing line is deadly for sea turtles. If you are boating, fishing, snorkeling or diving and see a sea turtle floating call fish and wildlife to report it.

I haven't seen her either & I make sure I have enough to buy her a meal if I do (which she may turn down if she just wants cash.)

Beautifully cool out again, good sleeping weather! Is it Saturday yet??
Who knows when the Oasis of the Sea makes its debut here? This is one that I have to go see at Crown, just read an article on it, wish we could still get aboard the boats to have lunch and tour! 6400 passengers and 2100 crew....crazy

Crazy week. My house is absolutely disgusting. Lots of people here working on the house. On one hand I am glad it is getting done on the other I just want a few days to clean and organize. JJ is sick and I was afraid of swine flu. High fever and a horrible headache. All the noise in the house made it so much worse so today we sent everyone home just to have a down day. We spent the entire day in the bedroom in the AC watching Disney while hubby searched the island for parts to fix the leak under the sink. Poor little guy is so sick so I gave him Popsicles all day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

So I'm guessing the guy who sits in the wheelchair by the light at the webcam is impervious to mosquitoes, right? Wonder what his secret is, I just got bit sitting inside in the dark on my laptop.:-X

His secret is that his blood is 90 proof alcohol. That and he probably doesn't feel the bites anymore.:-(

Yeah, I thought it must be something like that... :-(,indeed. I've seen him downtown a few times in different spots, once even pushing his chair! Is it mean of me to wish he'd park it somewhere other than right in front of the webcam? I need to get my daily fix but when I see him I feel guilty for being on a comfortable couch with laptop and coke handy. (editied to add that's a drink I have handy! ;))

That's Richard!
He always asks for a quarter but has always been polite when turned down. Last time there, I gave him a dollar and told him not to ask me every time. He was so thankful. He didn't ask me the several times I saw him before I left.

That's Keith with the wheelchair, he was hit by a car about 3 years ago and had a serious foot injury. Keith is typically very respectful when asking for money (unless he is having a tourettes attack) and typically only asks for a quarter. Richard is fully mobile, very skinny, black and has dreadlocks and always asks for more than a quarter! I will give Keith money but only ever give Richard food (or he'll buy drugs.

You'll see Keith 9:00 in the morning sitting in his chair nursing a cold one generally in front of Fongs....................all day every day is Miller time for him! So the quarters may not be for food after all........I'm just sayin
Then he'll hang for our viewing pleasure on the board walk so we can watch him sleep it off via web cam.................ahhhhhhhhhh it's good to be a bum!

Keith is very good about buying food & other items (like soap) with his money. He does spend some on beer and smokes too but that's better than on crack!

He is not "confined to a wheelchair". Most of the time he is in it but sometimes he walks away. Go figure?:S
