Paradise Freight is close to VI Cargo in Peter's Rest here on island too. No idea if both will make it or if one will supercede the other.

I'm trying Paradise Freight for my next order or two as well, just to see how it goes. Picked up my boxes today at VI Cargo with no issue, as usual, but if Paradise is cheaper and local as they say that may be enough to entice me to change.

ETA: I'm not sure being on the same street in Miami is that big a deal - I chalk it up to that's the part of the harbor/freight area where the shippers all are?

As used here, I'm not sure what "local" means. VI cargo has an office in FLA and one on STX, has been in business for years, and all the employees on STX are local? If it ain't broke, and the prices are fair -- why change?

VI Cargo is now owned by Tropical Shipping and the service has suffered greatly. I have also been way overcharged by them ($50 for 2 packages with 2 t-shirts each - both in flat tyvek envelopes). I will only use Paradise Freight now.

Good afternoon everyone

I need to have furniture shipped to STJ and have always used Tropical in the past so my question is do you think Paradise Freight is cheaper than Tropical for a) less than container and b) 20' container - I assume you can ship large items and not just small boxes with Paradise and does anyone have a number to contact them directly please

Thanks everyone

Pia

I had a wonderful meeting with Paradise Freight, I am so looking forward to working with them!

For all of you who want to support local business, choose Paradise Freight.

VI Cargo is now owned by Tropical, and they based out of the states. Paradise Freight is based here on STX, so the dollars they make get spent here.

Thank you Paradise Freight! ( I don't know that anyone of them is here on VIMoving, but the thanks go out)

Good For Marissia + Co!

But this still doesn't solve our walmart shipping issue.
