I have arrived for an inspection at 235 and have been told I was too late. Just don't cut it too close!

Your form is giving your permission to move as well? You need that so not to get a ticket on the way to inspection. Only valid for like 24 hours. At least in STT. Some rules differ from island to island.

It's $5 for the Moving Permit.
Sometimes you can get away without it but if you get stopped, you get a ticket.
Best to go early in the morning, if possible. Good luck.

I was thinking the same thing lol. We were boneheads and just didn't notice our sticker expired and drove around with it for two months. Nothing happened.

We drove our truck to get inspected yesterday after not having it on the road for three months and got pulled over immediately on the way there. Luckily the story and pile of paperwork on the seat made sense to the PO and he didn't write a ticket.

Best not to go for your inspection right at the beginnning or end of the month as the lines are longer. I waited over an hour for my paperwork after the inspection yesterday with a large crowd of people. Bring a good book or a good friend, and bring lots of cash in case the credit card and telecheck machines are down!

Also keep in mind the large television screens in the waiting room usually show scary images (violent police dramas etc?) with no sound, so not child-friendly for those of us with little ones. Not sure why they are burning the extra WAPA to run those big screens. Everyone in there is either chatting with a neighbor or diddling with their smartphone. 🙂
