We are furinshing a house on the Island. We will do this mostly by shipping furniture in a container from the US. However our Container is getting very full. Is there a good place to buy matresses on St. Thomas to save me from shipping those?? Thanks

We 2nd that request for information! We are in the same boat. Have a huge mattress and bedroom set and are seriously considering whether to take it with us or buy on island.

Beth,

What moving company are you using for the container?

There are plenty of stores that carry mattresses. Shop around and bargain. The price is usually negotiable. I know that Furniture Inn at Lockhart Gardens has Serta or Sealey.

We are in the same boat. Vacation home with 4 bedrooms & (2) 1 bedroom apartments. So that's 6 mattress/box springs! We want all same size (to retain my sanity and the maid's sanity and avoid sorting linens). King size - because we rent and everyone wants King size beds. Anyone have recent (or not recent) experience with "average price" for king size bed in STT?

We are using Crowley. They have been very helpful. I gave up looking for mattresses on STT and moved up to a 40 foot container which was not that much more expensive than a 20 ft. That way we will have everything we need there at the same time and not have to search the island for anything. Others that have done this have told us it is the way to go if you need to furnish a whole house as we are doing. I hope it goes as smoothly as I have been told. We move our stuff the first of June.

Beth,

I sent you a private message and was hoping we could chat about Crowley and the container.
