Good ting, if we do.
I have no clue who you are.
Y'all know I speak my mind.
So stop putting STT down. It's tiresome.
I don't go on about attempting to belittle STX.

All our islands are beautiful while maintaining different flavors and choices and opportunities.. We should support each other.

BTW, I was a charter boat captain with a 100 ton ocean operator license for many years previously as well as a divemaster, Naui/Padi crossover certificate. I know a bit or 2 about boats and all our Islands in the USVI and elsewhere.

Pm me and introduce yourself.

I love STT and STJ. Some of the very best times of my life were had there.

Island Adventure: Have you visited the USVI? Each island has a little different personality, just like all the various personalities on this board. 😉 There are grocery stores and hardware stores on each island.

The OP has apparently not done a PMV which I suggested and addressed a few posts back. It seems from the response (a little confusing since that response came on the tail of wanderer's interjection) that this is now the sensible plan agreed to.

i think this STT/STX rivalry, dart throwing is a bit like Boston/NY rivalry. We will pick at each other, put each other down, but band together when needed or when an outsider dumps on one of us.

Just to be sure, I've reviewed every post I've made to this board and I've never said much of anything about STT or STJ, negative or positive.

STT has a vibrant bar scene (compared to STX and STJ) and markets itself that way on internet travel sites. Happy hours abound and it can get expensive. Sorry, that's true, particularly for new arrivals seeking community.

Charter boats are constantly maintained - it's business. Alana, impressive resume - really. You've lived the dream.

However, not the same as personal boats.

Personal boats owned by busy people may sit at the dock for weeks without attention. Those are the ones of which I referenced. And, yes, sometimes they don't start. Sometimes the bottoms need cleaned before you can sail. If you don't cast off, no worries, STT is still paradise with more lights.

Jeez, didn't mean to poke the bear.

This is an outrageous, over the top generalization, which belittles the good people of STX and STJ. These kinds of provocative statements divide our community and instigate resentment and violence. Indeed, this "us versus them" mentality is the root of the socio-economic problems permeating the islands. Together, we can overcome our ideological differences, and the first step in this reconciliation process is to abandon any notions of STT's superiority with regards to its "bar scene".

Coming from someone that hasn't lived, "vacationed" or spent any time on STT, I find your comments amusing. Give it a rest, wanderer.
I'm sure each island has it own unique bar scene, if that's what one is into. There are many bars, with all different types of attractions and live music happening nightly in STT.

I'll give it a rest when I am tired. I've spent time on all three islands, but didn't feel like documenting my STT experiences. STT gave me aquaphobia, after my friend's boat failed to start. To this day, I get panic attacks when I see water in the bathtub, and have nightmares about being waterboarded.

Really. A couple of weeks in the USVI period. This "our" affectation is ludicrous.

I doubt it. He uses the "we" and "our" words liberally.
