If I had to work in town on STT or pass through town the cruise ships would likely bother me too although I worked for many years at the main cruise ship dock and wasn't negatively affected. But at this stage I very rarely have to go into town and rarely see hide nor hair of ships or their passengers. Even if STX had way more ships, it's such a large island that I doubt it would impact anyone living outside the main drag and away from the cruise terminal. The refinery was way more icky than any cruise ships!
