only if you believe in belief if you believe in science than science is stronger than belief, at least that's what I believe.

read this whole thread and tell me the above isn't true!

believe what you will, and let others do the same.

there is no such thing as truth, there is only what makes sense to you at this moment in time... just make sure you are not afraid or unable to change that which you think makes sense every now and again; else you are in a trap worse than any I can think of.

I'll sign up to what ever church or scientific doctrine loungestx is with! (Hopefully it's Dudeism ! http://dudeism.com/ )

It's way past your medication time. Fact "belief is stronger than science" No mention of truth in that statement! Never once did i mention a church or religion. For someone like you who doesn't follow rules it is obvious that truth doesn't matter. your guilt trip not mine. You can't put your foot under the statement to raise it and satisfy your need. Fact "belief is stronger than science" Hell you don' t even understand it. So if you believe in science, that only affirms the strength of belief not science.

haha, that's exactly what i was commenting on in a terribly unclear way.

since science is mostly theory and guesswork, it's the belief in science that is it's real power.

Landlord,
Fox news was made for people like you who do not understand what they read and see. As you get older they will draw and post pictures for you to make it easier for you. kinda like what Rotorhead does now. Have a good day and go watch the Disney Club now.

The statement that belief is stronger than science makes no sense. Belief in what? is stronger than science?
And what do you mean by "stronger"? After all, science is just a bunch of beliefs backed by facts and research.

csj092809,
"belief" is the perseverance and tendency to cling to ideas even when confronted with evidence to the contrary. So there are more beliefs than confirmed science which in turn makes belief stronger. This is not out of the box thinking or abstract association. it is fact. FACT "belief is stronger than science.

When an atheist believes in science, does that strengthen science or belief? Oh do you wash your face and hands after your scientific research to locate your brain.

Rotorhead,
Look it up yourself. We all can't be as smart as you so prove me wrong. "Oh by the numbers". Don't you have to be good with numbers to fly. FACT BELIEF IS STRONGER THAN SCIENCE. You have to use a comedians words to support you argument. You're a joke.

Ignorance is bliss isn't it?

You always make statements without any facts to back them up. Look it up yourself. Just because you say something doesn't make it true!

Science teaches us how to fly to the moon.
Religion teaches us how to fly into buildings.

LOL. Good one RH:D

I am still trying to figure out what belief is "stronger" (and what that means) than science. I agree that just because you keep repeating yourself and using capital letters, doesn't make your statement true. Your statement just doesn't make any sense to me. If you were to say that faith is stronger than science, I could probably agree. People have faith in things that are totally unable to be confirmed. And once they have that "faith", no one can talk against that faith to them. But saying that belief is stronger than science is a broad statement and not a FACT at all. It is an opinion. Fact is backed up with evidence. What you have is a hypothesis.

If your beliefs are backed by facts and facts are backed up by numbers...that's science.

By the way everybody, it doesn't cost any more to be nice.
