Please go to the Animal shelter! There is a small charge for adopting a cat, but by the time you factor in the cost of spay.neuter and the animals first shots, you would be spending less than if you got a free cat and had to pay for the medical stuff yourself. And you will be helping a good organization. They have way too many animals as it is and they have some really nice cats over there!

And PLEASE spay/neuter your pet no matter what!

Well i went and they were like you cant have a cat because your dog isnt spaded. Im like i dont want to spade her until her first litter of pups because we want to sell the pups because shes a good breed and make alot of money. the lady was like sorry no cat!! Unbelivable. so I went to dr. hess and adopted two kittens!! I cant believe they want you to adpot but then they want you to fix all your animals first.

If you had to kill all the animals they have to because of the lack of spaying & neutering you'd probably understand. I do hope you will have the kittens neutered.

I think it makes sense to want you to spay/neuter your animal. Even if it is a pure bred, there are WAY TOO MANY animals already on this island. It is irresponsible to breed animals while there are so many dying every day from the overpopulation. Please have the kittens fixed without breeding them.

Well, good job for persevering and adopting 2 kittens anyway. I hope that you have lots of fun with the kitties and I am sure that you will be a resonsible pet owner. Perhaps the lady at the shelter didn't understand that your bitch is a pedigree and you wanted to breed her for business.
I agree that there are way too many unwanted dogs, but with the price of papered breeds as high as they are...I can see that it would be tempting to have that extra income.
