I am selling my 1996 Ford Explorer XL SUV. It has a 4.0L V6 engine, automatic transmission, and 4-wheel drive. There is a working sunroof, a great sound system with all working speakers and an AUX input for your phone or mp3 player, a brand new battery purchased in December, and 3 brand new tires purchased 1/30/13. $1500, OBO. St. Croix, USVI

Post caught my attention too, but the pic seemed legit. Price seemed way too low. Just purchased 3 tires in the day she was trying to sell it...tires for that would have set her back $150/ea minimum. If you look at prior posts, there are two other e-mail addresses as points of contact.

Hahaha sorry. I've been getting tons of emails about the car and assumed I'd be notified if there were forum discussions. The car is still for sale, but a lot of people have voiced interest. I will contact people in the order than they reached me.

From emails: The car runs well. I've had problems with the battery, but I changed it and cleaned the terminals so now it runs great. I had the alternator, starter, and ignition all checked before purchasing a new battery and those are all good. I will try to disclose every single problem I've run into: the AC does not work, nor does the passenger side window. The windshield wipers only work at their fastest setting, but this has never been an issue (the reverse could be tragic). The right side rear taillight plastic is broken, but I made a replacement island style (red paint and saran wrap[and glitter]). The seats are leather and thus worn out, so I have seat covers. There is cosmetic damage on the exterior, but you can check that out for yourself. The ABS light came on, so it will need to have the brakes checked. But I'm glad to report the tires have been replaced (went in to do one, H&H convinced me to do 3...)
