My wife, 3 children and myself are relocating to st Croix. Looking for a rental or lease option. Livable handyman house OK for right price in nice area. Have a monthly rent budget of $1100.

You are going to have trouble finding a 3 BR house in a nice neighborhood for $1,100. You may have to reevaluate your budget.

The "nice area" is a very difficult subject for us to address. It is so subjective that you really need to visit St Croix for a PMV and find your own "nice area". Have you been to the Island at all?

You need to get here to find something. Your price range is going to limit you. 3 bedroom condos are going for $1800 and up. Have you figured in your utilities into that price? WAPA, phone, cable, internet? They will run you another couple hundred dollars a month. How long will you be here?

You will not find a 3bedroom house on the east end for 1300, even the fixer uppers will be more as most island homes are fixer uppers.

In your original post you said something about being a live-in handyman. You need to be on island 1st and meet people and get your name out there before anyone will consider you as a live-in handyman. There was another post recently about someone looking for a live-in handyman. Check that post.
