If you don't mind - why are you leaving? For those of us anxious to relocate it would be interesting to know.

Best wishes-

Last April I was hried by an architectural office and moved down in May. My move went smoothly, shipped a car down via Tropical and some loose things on a pallet. Only surprise there was my car cost around $2,300 total with registration and everything when I only budgeted $1,600.

I began a long distance relationship with someone I had known some time from home. After flying back and forth a couple of times to see each other, I proposed last month and we became engaged. The firm I work for also has an office in Orlando, which I am transferring to.

I'm leaving for a number of reasons, many of which are very petty, but nonetheless has helped me make the decision to move. Things like high cost of rent, lack of quality internet, unstable and high cost of electricity all contributed to my decision. The two largest factors in my decision to move was of course living with my fiance in Orlando and the work load I was required to take on at the office I was working at.

Overall, I loved the time I spent on St Thomas. Just seems like its not exactly what I'm looking for in life. Its an absolutely beautiful place to live and I loved the views I witnessed every morning while I sat in traffic.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask!

Hello there. I am seeking a vehicle, but as I am physically not in good shape (i.e. disabled), could you tell me which island it is on?

Also, if you could email me at Affiliationllc@aol.com, I would like to ask a couple of very brief questions.

Thank you so much,

Dan

I am sorry I asked about where you lived, as you did make that clear, I just had not read far enough. If you could still send me an email, I would appreciate it.

Danieljude-

I know that you said you're looking for a car on STX. While my car is on St Thomas, I would be willing to help split the costs of shipping it over if you were interested.

Thank you once again for all of your support. The envelope will be out in the morning, and hopefully to you by Wednesday.

Best regards as always,

Dan

Hello,
I noticed that you worked in the architectural field while in STX. I was hoping you could give me a bit of advice. I have recently finished my masters at Syracuse U. and have just returned from an historic preservation internship in Transylvania. Needless to say, I am a traveler at heart. Now that I'm finished with all my schooling, I am looking to relocate to STX. I have 4 years experience working in Washington,DC doing mostly high-end large scale residential and mixed-use projects. Do you have any advice on how some one of my training level might obtain an architectural designer's position with a local firm? What was your daily working situation like? What types of projects did you work on? Any comments you may have would be very helpful. Thanks.
-Whitney
