Hi Everyone! My roomate and I are looking to move somewhere in the VI's in January, we are hoping that gives us enough research time. I think we have decided on St. Thomas, it seems like the most populated and will therefore be the best place to find a job and a place to live. Does anyone have any advice they could give us on where to look or who to call? This website seems to cover most of it but we would love to be able to set everything up before we move. Thanks so much, we are really excited!

I STRONGLY su7ggest that you do a pre move visit before you commit to come. You need to look around, find a long term place to rent, understand the costs, what transportation you are going to have and last line up a job. I do not suggest that you just come down and then find a job unless you want to work a bar or a resturant that will lay you off when the prime season is over..

You might want to look at the island trader for some ideas on typical rents. Most do not include utilities. You can see what cars cost. If you chose what side of STT to locate on then you can narrow the places you want to stay down.

We have guest rooms that rent for 129 a night in the prime season for people like your self., or 99 a night in the low season. They have their own bath, cable, AC, fan, frig, microwave and a king size bed. We have a pool and are a short walk to Sapphire Beach.

PM if you are interested or want more info.

January is high season. You will find fewer rentals, etc. available because the folks who arrived in October snapped them up.;)
