It is more expensive for long term than short? Isn't it usually the other way around??

Hi. Our asking rental price is normally $1,650 per month. It is currently available now for a very short period of time (now - March 31, 2008) . We wanted to get it rented so we reduced the cost per month. It will be available again starting May 2008 for $1,650 for six months or possibly longer.
