Sorry Ronnie -

I went on vacation and did not bring my computer - so I did not check this board.

I love animals, children, sports, and beach bumming.
I worked and volunteered at the YMCA stateside for many years, and miss it dearly!

There is a little YMCA sign down one of the gades near st. peter st. paul - we don't have a ymca - do we?

I have an idea. I am sure we all have a certain genre of books we like to read. I typically read contemporary novels that have a sense of humor, take place in a foreign country or take a perceptive look at life. I have never read a Sci-Fi or mystery book. But, I know there are good books in every genre. We could explore a different genre every time.. What do you all think?

donkey: The Humane Society is a good idea. Don't know about the Y, but I know that Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are around. For sports: Little League? I think there is a children's soccer league, too. The Pistarckle Theater always is looking for volunteers. The schools could always use grown-ups to help out. The Friends of the Library have opportunities.
