Anyone heard of Ocean Terrace St. Croix??

Yes, Ocean Terrace has long been an apartment complex that they tried to convert to condos in 2007. I believe there were about 54 units that came on the market and they were priced quite a bit higher than buyers felt they were worth and not a single one of them sold. They are still rented on long-term leases and month-to-month leases and my understanding is that they are full or nearly full most of the time. Many of the tenants were contractors with sub-contracting companies who brought them to STX and arranged their housing for them.

Ocean Terrace is located in the Orange Grove neighborhood a little ways west of Christiansted. It is behind the Pueblo grocery store and the KFC restaurant and in the same vicinity as Long Reef Condos and Bay Garden Condos.

Some of the units have ocean views and others do not. They have a swimming pool and lawns and I think they have tennis courts. They may also allow pets, but that was still not yet determined when they were on the market in the MLS as condos. They have an electronic security gate and an on-site management office located by the swimming pools.

And razorwire atop there nice wall...who the heck thought that was a good idea?? I can only imagine how that keeps potential buyers away.

The same can be said for Questa Verde condos. Very effictive but unslightly.

My girlfriend lives here at Ocean Terrace, and I spend about 2 weeks per month at her place...it's nice and all, but kind of expensive. The razor wire and elec. gate definitely give a sense of security. Convenient location, too.

Does anyone know if Ocean Terrace has good internet?
