Quoting Dish
"Effective October 17, 2012, ABC, CBS, and NBC affiliates will be available in HD in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin
Islands. The FOX affiliate will be available in HD as well in the coming weeks—stay tuned!"

These haven't changed for me yet today, but by midnite networks should be in HD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!
In addition to networks we are also getting 8 more channels in HD,... Cooking, DIY, Encore, Hallmark Movie channel, History 2, Style, Galavision, and Destination America. The networks are available in any package. The 8 new HD channels require the AT250 pac.

Just switched in the last hour on STT - and that's really good news. As of a few days ago one of the channels was really messed up and all the characters looked like space aliens with bright blue faces and glowing red eyes. I was waiting to see if it was just a temporary glitch before calling and, while at it, was going to ask about those channels coming in on HD. Happy day!

The pictures are great, but the Fox affiliate Dish offers in the USVI does not have the rights to the baseball play offs. If you want to watch the play offs on Dish you still need to sign up for All American Direct to get a Fox from NYC or the west coast.

In Puerto Rico Dish carries Channel 27 (WAPA) which has purchased the rights for the play offs and if it is like last year they will also have the rights to the World Series so you won't be able to watch on Dish in the USVI either.

Hey Sky. Does this mean I need to contact All American to switch on my HD?

Ronnie - I got rid of American Direct a while ago when DISH finally gave us the network channels we couldn't get without them They weren't HD but they were free and now, as of today, they are HD. . DITCH American Direct! Cheese 'n' bread and I thought I was a dinosaur! 😀

Which channels? 02x or 24x? Or something else? And what local area (for NFL watching...) Mine haven't switched yet.

We had gotten rid of All American and just got it back again. Two main reasons: more football games are available with All Americans multiple feeds and 3 times while watching a DVR'd show on a PR network the show was interrupted for a 10 min PR travel commercial. Got tired of missing large chunks of the shows we like.

If WAPA has the rights, then an over the air antenna will bring the games in. WAPA has a huge signal...We get it East End, STJ, behind BODO mountain.

WAPA with an off air antenna is one option. All American Direct will sell you only Fox if that's all you want. $3.50 per month.

The Dish provided network channel numbers are between 10 and 24. Primarily East coast feeds simulcast via Puerto Rico.

With Dish HD is FREE for life when you CC autopay. If you don't have the Dish provided networks they will add them for $5 mo.
This latest improvement brings the number of HD channels on Dish to over 60......!!(tu)

Tart, I never got the memo. Converting all of my programs to be recorded now to the channels that are HD. SO happy. Sunday will be the best with football in HD!

I didn't get any memo from DISH either - just heard about it by chance from my original installer. My next project is to try and reduce my monthly bill by going to a different package but seems that I can't do this online. Have to call and thus listen to a whole bunch of blah blah blah. Waiting for a better mood day to go that route! 😀

for $9/month, the Sports Package upgrade gets you NFL Redzone.
Coverage of all 1PM and 4pm Sunday games, flipping back and forth as teams get in the Red Zone.
Channel 155 in HD goodness.
Its been called Crack for Fantasy Football fans....I just like it for the games.

We're almost back to where we were two years ago. Now if we could only get the Science Channel in HD back again.

Is there anyway to get the Weather Channel to incorporate our local weather updates on DISH just as Innovative Cable TV has?
On the local on the 8's?

Select Interactive. Select The Weather Channel tab. It has local radar, present weather, forecast, 5 day forecast.......... you can even change the city of your forecast if you like.

Some of it works without connectivity. Try it.

Sky, why is it that the sound is messed up on WVGN NBC's broadcast? They have the background louder than the foreground. I just sent them an email but was wondering if you noticed it as well? Both HD and SD is the same. I check my All American Direct NBC with no audio problems.
