Both of these beaches are attached to hotels. There will be a small charge to use the chairs and they are perfectly safe.

Chenay Bay is quiet "usually" and the water is super flat. Easy on the young ones.

I like Southgate, too. There have rarely been more than a couple people there anytime we've been. The water is nice and not too deep.

Dont forget about carambola!

Generally, the more people/proximity to a resort, the safer you will be.

I recommend Tamarind Reef. $10 for a tiki hut with two chairs all day and the beach staff is super friendly. Plenty of parking and a bar if you need soda, water, whatever. Pretty sure you can use the pool, too, as long as you buy something from the bar, at least for now before season. I understand lots of moms take their tots there.

Went to Cane Bay yesterday and really liked it! Water was calm, there was shade and it was super quiet. Good option.... next stop, Mermaid 😎
