Always heard good things about the food and service-----and last nite first hand experience confirmed all the good reviews.
Food was very good----especially for the value you get. Friend had $18 steak which I tried, and it was excellent. The wife and I shared shrimp in butter garlic-----good, plenty, however, the green and red peppers in the butter and garlic sauce take away what I really need to TASTE, GARLIC(and I love red peppers).The meal was a good value for the price, $16. Throw in a $4.00 appetizer and $5.00 soup(small bowl), more than enough for wife and I to share; plus you get small salad with and side(rice and beans, fries, baked pototoe, etc... ) with all meals.
Service was outstanding for such a large party we had---10. All meals were served according to order, and all meals came out within minutes of each other.
Been here over 2 years and visiting for over 20, however, never went to El Sol, but know it wont be 2 years before I go back. Place is located not far from HOVENSA.

I love El Sol. Best value on island and great food. I always have leftovers for lunch the next day so I get two meals for $12 - $18.

El Sol RULES! We go there often. El Sol and Milla Morales are totally local and are two of the best places onisland.
