How come no one is talking about the KMart robbery the other night? I hear they made off with 100K. That's BIG. Anyone know anything?

I have trouble believing they would have had $100k in the safe, but I suppose given the season, you never know.

Interesting. Either these guys are off island by now, or they're very, very stupid. Can't get away with that stuff while living on an 80sq/mile island.

Nope. They sure did not. He must have shed his dress and headed straight for a boat or plane.

Au contraire... sadly they get away with stuff like that all the time on STX.

It appears that in a place where you have first degree murderers on house arrest, anything goes.

(Click each person's name, not photo, to see their crimes.)

The District Court of the Virgin Islands will not permit use of local pretrial detention facilities due to a standing court order concerning substandard conditions of confinement. As a result, all federal detainees must be transported to and from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

It is ASTOUNDING how "difficult" it is for the VIPD to find certain, clearly identifiable individuals on such a small patch of land.

/sarc off

Sarcasm? Ok.

Somebody blows away two people in broad daylight outside a supermarket (STX) _ two months later, no arrest.

Somebody dressed in drag robs a bank in broad daylight (STX) _ a month later, no arrest.

It's not VIPD's fault, though. The people they are looking for are not on this patch of land anymore. Check Tortola.
