Landscaper - STX

Forget looking for a landscaper and just look for yard maintenance.

I use Kevin Sloan. He's a nice guy from Canada. Very reasonable and honest. 340-643-2402. If he doesn't answer, he's probably on a yard machine but will call back in the afternoon.

Looking for a landscaper on St. Croix. Just want someone to keep it cleaned up as we still live stateside for a while. I have contacted about 4 landscapers and the pricing is all over the board. Can anyone suggest a reliable, reasonably priced landscaper? Thanks.

That's a little vague. Size of property, grass only, tree / bush trim, etc. Many can do the job but some are not prepared. Just saying.

It's a home on the east end, some grass, palms and a few other trees, just want it kept up while not there. Keep the grass down, as we do have a tenant there and address and concerns that may be there each month. Thanks.

I used Chris(??) and was very happy with kid and pricing. Go to Off the Wall and ask Diane what is Annie's husband the landscaper name. They live right down the road and Annie used to work there.

How much are you being quoted (and for how many visits/hrs)?

In STT, I pay $100 a month for one property and $150 for another.
The guys come once a month, cut grass, trim hedges, remove dead branches, get rid of leaves, etc. Pretty basic.

I've had anywhere from 200 - 250 per month for one visit, and as high as 350 with 2 visits. It's a small lot, not much grass to cut, just on a hill with a slight slope. The trees would probably take the most time, as If I was there it would take about 20 minutes to weed wack it. I did have an hourly rate of 95, and need to call him to see if he can do it in an hour. Ferdi qouted me 200 for 2 guys once per month. I was told he would probably be the highest, but then the next guy was even more. I'm sure it's probably cause I'm off island and they know I need it done and can't do it myself. IDK

That's a rip off, IMO.
How many hours are they there for what they quoted you?

I agree, It wouldn't be anywhere close to that in the states. I could see 20-30 an hour, but 95+ is not acceptable to me. But what do I know?

Can you lower the rent in exchange for mowing the yard? That's what we do.
