I have Leather and wood furniture like this http://www.ekornes.com/usa/index_stressless.htm

Is it a bad choice for moving it down to St Croix? We have the chair, couch, and hassock and really like them.

that shouldn't be a problem. Leather is good in this climate as you have less of a problem with it absorbing moisture and mildewing and it's harder for bugs to lay eggs in it, etc. Wipe it down now and then with leather protector and it should be a good choice. If you ever see any signs of bugs infesting the wood portion of the furniture, get it treated ASAP. This type of furniture doesn't appear to be the type that attracts termites like a magnet.
