was having a drink this evening at h20 and all of a sudden people on the beach were frantic and looking for 2 toddlers
from what i got out of what peeps were saying the father was passed out drunk in the car and when he woke a 4yr old and 2yr old was missing
bunch of people running up and down the beach looking for the kids
vipd showed up on my way out
anyone hear if the kids were located and ok ?
i sure hope so

Kids are fine. They were with their mother the whole time. Idiot father got so drunk that he forgot he dropped them off.

Much as people like to dwell on our crime statistics, I would venture to say that those toddlers, if they had actually been lost, would have been safer here than most places on the mainland.
The first Crucian to find them would have tried to find the parents...whether the Crucian was a "bad boy" or not.

Good grief. If this is a father who doesn't live with the family but has visitation rights, maybe his wife should consider petitioning for supervised visitation only before a real tragedy occurs ...

Reminds me of an experience at a Jump Up in C'sted a few years ago.
A little boy, about 4 or 5 years old got separated from his father/family and was crying in the middle of the crowded street. I asked him what was wrong and he told me that he was lost. I picked him up and put him on my shoulders so he could see above the crowd. After what seemed to be 10 min. of walking around the area the tyke spotted his dad. Strangely, the dad didn't seem all that concerned.

I happen to agree with this statement. If you want strangers to show extraordinary kindness, bring along a baby or toddler.

Wow!rumors really spread. From what I understood,The father lives next door, on beach next to h20. He is divorced and has custody of kids. Father was sleeping and x wife basically kidnapped the kids.
I live in the neighborhood and was one of the many neighbors running around looking for the kids until word came that mother had them. The father was frantic with worry.
Poor kids. Divorce can be so ugly.

Not really rumors. Know the guy. Talked to him yesterday, he was hammered and passed out in his car. Less than a block from his house.

My immediate thought when I read the later post! If he really does have custody and that was the scenario, that should probably be revisited ... the coconut telegraph does get twisted up in those strangling vines!
