Nanny Hunting in STT - Community Bulletinboards?

Does anyone have any recommendations regarding childcare and nanny hunting? Our nanny recently had to leave the island due to a family emergency, and we are once again looking for summer care for our toddler.

Unfortunately, craigslist and many of the internet message boards are not frequented and we had very limited response rate last time around. We are planning on posting a notice on the board within the Red Hook Mail Center, as well as getting the word out through the Antilles and Montessori Schools. Any other advice? Has any one used a service or alternate channels to find childcare in St Thomas?

Help!

You might also try All Saints and Sts Peter and Paul schools. If you're okay with a high schooler, then that seems like your best bet. There has got to be a responsible, reliable high schooler looking for summer work.

UVI? You can also post a notice at the Just Cuts hair salon in Buccaneer Mall on their bulletin board.

Call Nanny's In Paradise. Don't have the number but I reached them through the Ritz. I have used them on some charters.
