I'm going to be moving to STT in July and I'm just curious, can anyone tell me places to avoid?

I have been to STT a few times but I am not very familiar with the area.

What are some areas and places that should be avoided?

Dangerous areas etc. I just dont want to accidentaly wonder into the wrong area.

Thanks

1. Don't be out very late (like 1-2 in the morning).

2. Smith bay at 2AM

3. Hospital Ground at 12:00

These are the areas if you look at the police reports that are often mentioned.

If it does not feel right then it is not right!

Thanks billd,

Thats pretty much what I figured. I figure if I dont go to areas that I am not familiar with and that dont feel right I will be fine.

Thanks again

Treat it like any inner city in the states and you will be fine.

We are going to be visiting Pt Pleasant near Smith Bay, is that a reliable and good place to stay?

The Hospital grounds is by the stadium. It was were the OLD hospital was, not the new one. Point Pleasant is OK but late night in Smith Bay is not good. Chances are that nothing will happen to you there, but there is a chance that it will happen.

And Back Street is not a good place to be.
