I have no problem with a lady trying to keep her appearance up, through elected surgery. Damn there I go again, did I say Lady. I forgot who I was talking about.

Why do you feel it necessary or pertinent to make derogatory comments about Speaker Pelosi's looks? It certainly doesn't add anything to the debate on health care.

No it does not add one thing to the debate, you are correct. However it is a gross display of what to much money and cosmetic surgery can do for ones looks. Linda,I'M just having fun with you !!! Personally I can't stand the woman. And yes as a matter of fact I like a stronger woman, who is not afraid to speak up.

I gave a favorable comment on her looks. The Debate on Health care is over. Why would you want to monitor/censor my right to free speech and opinion.:P:P:P:P

Chockman,

Girl, i understand your jealousy. I saw her photo in the newspaper today and i said to myself, wow, she can give us competition and we are half of her age. I'm loving her dresses, too. I'm going to google it in order to find out where she shops and I'll let you know.

Another site had pictures of Nancy over the years. MUCH work has been done! (and yes, if I had her money I'd do it too.) Too bad I don't admire her politically.

Paula, I think if a woman wants to have the elective work done and can afford, why not. Just don't let them make you look like plastic.I can't say I admire anything about her, politically or otherwise.

Well I do admire her...both politically and otherwise. She is a strong assertive woman, and darn attractive for a 70 year old. (Speaking as a fellow septuagenarian)

I guess some of you folks still feel threatened by a strong woman.

Great job getting the votes Nancy. I still want universal health care, but this is a start.

My point was that some peope seem inordinately interested in how she looks. But I can certainly understand how she would be intimidating. She is a strong person in a powerful position.

Gee does Nancy work for the people or rule the people? The people that put the strong person in a powerful position were ignored. Intimidating? Just disgusted that we the people had been "IGNORED". That's the real point IMHO! Oh she did look Hot of CNN yesterday8-)

You might have been ignored. She did represent my point of view. So I guess she didn't ignore everyone.

Well, I guess we'll find out who "we the people" are at election time. That is, after all, how our system works -- our representatives do their best and we get to grade them every 2, 4 or 6 years. I know, it's a bad system, just better than all the others.

Ignored or not I just want to be left alone. If you want Universal Coverage why don't you get together with everyone else who feels the same about it and provide yourselves with Universal Coverage? Why do you have to drag me into it? I don't want it and I should have the freedom to not be a part of it.

What you are really saying is you want me to pay for your coverage...you just aren't being honest about it.

(And since written words don't always translate tone I'm using "you" as in y'all or you'se guys, not directing it directly at any member).

I am not surprised that a vocal minority has been brainwashed by the radical right wing and 'foxnewsthink'. The attacks and lies have been non stop. I respect those who do not want to be part of a national plan. However I believe that we hold a common responsibility for our fellow man. I am on Medicare, it works and I think everyone should have the same assurance that they can get quality medical care.

The vicious attacks on our President and his supporters have no place in a free America. It shames us all.

We already have universal health care -- we don't have people lying dying outside hospitals. The debate is how to pay for it.

Edward,
Very profound statement, and you have the right to make it, However it looks like we the people have no say lately, we did put them in Office "NO". Maybe you can explain how this reform will help our children etc. Oh I'M sorry you could care less.:-o
