place to live

Hello,
I'm new so please bear with me

I'm coming to STT on Jan. 2nd and I need a place to live, are there any other resources other than the paper that some one would suggest for an apartment? I'm looking for a 1 bedroom or studio, no real preference on location.
Or if some one could suggest someplace to find roommates that would also be helpful,

I am going to UVI for grad school; I will be there for two years; maybe more

Also two quick questions
I have a hotel room for ten days, should that be enough?
And any suggestions to find paid work as sail (or power) boat crew? I have experience and references.

Thanks

Mike

Mike, click on the Moving Center link above. There are tons of answers there, plus a variety of moving stories. You will find all of your answers there I am sure. If not, then ask away!

Mike: For boat jobs, go where the boats are! LOL

Really, if you want a day boat position, go to American Yacht Harbor, for example, and talk to the crews returning in the afternoon (4ish) You might also try Crown Bay as it is closer to UVI.

Best of luck with your studies.

I don't know for sure but you might check with UVI when you get here. They might have info on places to rent.

Hey Mike,

I am also looking for a place to live. I am moving down there the 3rd week in January. I already have a job but I would like to find a place to live. I would prefer to have a roommate and live in a somewhat larger space and split rent. You said you'd be there for 2 yrs?
E-mail me if you are interested in talking about sharing a place.

Megan

HI Megan, i'm Kristi and my bestfriend Katie and I are moving to St. J and we are looking for a place near cruz bay. we wouldn't mind to live in a larger place with roommates also, so keep in touch and maybe we could work something out. nice to meet you, Kristi
