Hi everyone,

Although I am back in Massachusetts wearing a sweatshirt today I am still in ST in my head. I did a lot of looking around and talking to locals both native and transplants. Even my mother got into it as well. As far as we can tell my husband and I feel sufficiently prepared to make the move when the time comes which will hopefully be September. Still waiting on the house here to sell but we have some good leads. At the very least my husband and I will be down for another trip in Sept when he returns from Iraq.

Had a great time, weather was great and food was great. The local bakery next to the tamarind inn was awesome and I ate my fill of dum bread! Even figured out how to use the dollar bus although had a few tense moments about whether or not it was actually going to be coming back to the triangle by skinny's. Checked out both connections and found a lot of potential listings although I am sure they will be different by the time we get there. All in all I felt at home and comfortable walking around by myself and running errands. Hope it all works out in the end!

See you soon,
Sarah

thanks again trade,

This board has really helped me to fill in the pieces of the puzzle for our move. Of course talking to people who have actually relocated to STJ has been invaluable too!

Hello Sarah,

Were you able to research the fitness training field and get any leads there?

Hi there!

I have talked with some folks at the gym and it seems like a good option for me to start there. I hope to advertise my services for private use and rent a location if it seems like a good plan. I noticed a yoga studio advertised in Mongoose Junction. However, as I am aware I don't mind doing just about anything as well. However, I have not proven to be a good waitress in the past! I plan on brushing up on my office skills before coming down. I have seen advertisements for medical billing specialists and thought taking such courses might give me an opportunity for work in doctor's offices or health care centers. Any suggestions? I love my current career but I am willing to supplement it to live on STJ!

Thanks Islander but for the thought!

Sarah
