I'll be in STT next week with my two kids (10 and 13) for a PMV but it appears that all rental cars are sold out for when we'll be there (Tues-Sat)! Are there any alternatives or other places to look that folks can suggest? I don't want to have to take taxis everywhere since we plan to do a lot of exploring of neighborhoods and looking at apartments while we're there. Thanks in advance!

I know on STX there are several gray market "car rental" companies. I usually see them pop up on community Facebook pages when folks post messages like yours.
Of course, you should be very careful when using these under the table operations.

It's always best to plan in advance and reserve ahead of time.
Maybe check this list for availability or Google car rental yellow pages.
