Stupid question…we need to buy furniture for a house…cheaper ship from Columbia or other parts of Central or South America that from Florida?

I wouldn't think so. Wouldn't your shipment originating in Colombia have to go in a container then ship to a Florida, then back to the VI?

I don't know of any shipping lines that have a Colombia to VI route, but, maybe they exisit.

@vicanuck I have to buy it all anyway so origination from the south works, just dont know if its cheaper or even viable.

@topnote probably considerably cheaper to buy in Puerto Rico and ship over on the Norma H.

They have great stores there.

@vicanuck what a great idea.  There must be 10 home depot stores there alone.  Thanks!

I’ve gotten door and window packages from Guatemala before (full containers) and they did go to FL before heading back down.  It took awhile, logistics are more complicated, but it did save a lot for custom packages that were 150k or more.  But I don’t know if it would be worth it for furniture unless you were getting a lot of custom made pieces.
