Stereo repair on STX

I don't personally know of anyone but I think I would give Mikes Electronics a call. They may be able to assist or provide a recommendation. They are in the phone book and next to Cost U Less in Peters Rest. Good luck!

I may be less expensive to purchase a new one in the States and have it shipped down unless it is a high end model.

I have a high end Pioneer receiver that WAPA finally toasted a year or so ago.

I contacted Ken Klose on STX who has the expertise to repair the unit but since he is not an authorized Pioneer dealer, he can't get the needed parts.

For me, the answer was to send the receiver to an authorized service center in Miami and you'll likely have to do the same.

However, similar receivers are considerably less expensive than they were and buying a new one will probably end up being much cheaper in the long run.

Just my opinion.

You can also check St. Maarten forums if you can't find anyone in the VI. They have a boat from Gallows Bay to St. Maarten this Friday, and every other Friday. Cargo rates are very economical. f you can find someone there, you can ship it to them duty free and they can send it back 2 wks later.
