For all those cynics who think the Washington pols do no visit the islands.....Don't forget the CNN story of all the congressmen trying to explain away their taxpayer funded "fact finding" trip to Caneel Bay last spring.....It was hilarious!!!!

Think a little harder people. I haven't decided who I am voting for, however Obama is trying to raise funds to support his campaign without taking money from big companies who will then want favors returned when he is President. I am tired of politicians taking tobacco money for example and then protecting them while president. It should be the people they are looking out for not a big business. Anyway, so far Obama has stuck to his word, but he most likely will run out of money and need to take some of those 'bribes' as well.

Has anyone figured out Obama's strong connection to the V.I.?

I tried to look it up but couldn't find the information, but I recall that at the nominating conventions Vi's, PR, and Samoa can vote delegates towards selecting the nominee.

AT the Democratic National Convention for the nomination of office of the President, all 3 USVI combined get 9 delegates that vote.

Obama " used campaign donations generated by PACs and Lobbyists to bankroll the birth of his White house bid" ( Chicago Sun Times Feb 9,2007 reporter Lynn Sweet").

He continues to raise Money from;
PACs
Lobbyist (Family Members)
Bundlers
Campaign Paraphernalia
Investment Banks
Hedge Funds
Trial Lawyers
Nuclear Power Industry
