Hi all,

Can anyone tell me how much it costs for monthly trash pick up (residential).
Any limitations? We're on a semi steep street, very close to a major road.

Thanks!

Not sure....doesn't the VIWMA provide that? I get my trash picked up twice a week and have never seen a bill.

Must be nice!
I get to take my trash on a scenic tour of the island before I can get rid of it!
Dumpsters here are few and far between!

We always dumped our own trash. Didn't seem like a big deal.

Ours is picked up-maybe the landlord pays?

Haha me too! We could really use a few more dumpsters on the Northside!

Good Afternoon,
Try Bates. They do residential as well as commercial. # is on a lot of dumpsters by many businesses - or phone book

We've been here on STX for about 3 weeks and someone keeps picking up our trash. Did not notice it in our lease, but, not complaining when it mysterily disappears twice a week!

We pay VI Regulated Waste Management roughly $25/month for twice weekly service. It may be a few dollars more than that.

Thanks Chad!
I've tried to find it online and could not.

To everyone who gets free trash pick up, it seems to happen here, that once someone has paid for trash pick up and then cancels, the guys that pick it up, don't seem to get that message, and just keep picking it up.(tu)

Isn't that cheating/stealing?

It's also possible that the trash was pre-paid by previous tenants.

More than likely. Trust me, private garbage collectors don't continue to pick up trash if the bills aren't paid!

Ok, so, I was just looking for the cost of pick up.
I assumed it was all done by 1 company.
At our previous rental it was included in the rent, they would pick up around 1am, so I never saw who/what company.

Should not have posted hear say I guess, especially not the thumbs up at the end, that seemed to get more response then the actual question.
I was asking for the cost, so definitely not planning on "stealing".

Thanks for the info.
