2 more young men died of gun shot wounds this week on STX, That makes 4 for the New Year on STX , 0 For STT, and 0 for STJ. Shells from an AK47 and 9MM were found at the scene. That's some Heavy Duty Fire Power.(td)

Honestly, I just don't care anymore. This exact type of thing has been going on for decades here; it's nothing new. I became numb to it about two years after I came here, and that was 12 years ago.

Am I jaded? Yep, I suppose. It's just that spending energy on fretting over this stuff just doesn't improve my life in any way. Plus, I already read about this in the Avis earlier today.

Until the cops and politicians actually start doing their jobs, nothing will change. All anyone ever does in these islands is TALK about the problem. I have yet to see any action. And, the cops and politicians should be the ones to lead the charge on that front. But, they do nothing. Except flap their gums. Meh.

Sorry to be a downer, but that's the blunt truth. Happy New Year, FWIW.
