Came across this on You Tube. One of the better videos I have seen that captures the real images, faces, and spirit of everyday life.

I think part of it was filmed during a tan tan tour. Very nice.

The tidal pool at Anally Bay? Incredible experience. Anyone who hasn't done a tan tan tour needs to.

One of my friends watched this and she told me she saw "too many young men making imaginary guns with fingers and pulling the trigger ." I watched it again and saw only one instance that could be construed as a "trigger pull" but honestly I think he was just saying, "come here" or "hand me the camera." Does anyone else see this? I think it's a pretty awesome video.

Ok, I think I see what your friend is seeing, but I think she's misunderstanding the gesture. I saw the same gesture, the finger-pointing, often when I lived on STX. It's a greeting.

I agree. She's from here, but I think she's a bit sensitive to the whole "gun thing."

I noticed it too, it does look like a trigger being pulled. Even if it is a gesture thing it could be mis interperated, and has been.

It's a shame about this one action, as it is a good video. A friend of mine told me his sister and niece are in it.

It's an island-wide gesture! Someone you know drives past in a car, he/she honks, and your raise your hand and point at them. I would always wave at the guys who were doing our yard work and usually the "wave" I got back was a sideways hand and a thumb and finger extended. Anybody who automatically sees a gun needs to reevaluate his/her thought processes.

Found another short video recently on Vimeo that is also very good at capturing the sights of STX with a filmmakers eye. Enjoy!

Personally, I hated this one. Looks like a failed attempt to be artsy to me. Either that or the filmmaker doesn't know how to focus and pan very well. Liked the music, though.

A friend of mine did this he's a local rapper here.

I know some of you guys are critical on certain things but here's his link fethecat.com .. A friend of mine from HS. We went to Central High. He brought a friend of his down to shoot this other video he did with Pressure and they shot that other "Welcome to St.Croix" video. I did the website. I wasn't in St.Croix when they did the video though.

The video was all right, but where were the beaches? The video could have been done much better.
