does anyone know of an "authentic" cookbook of West Indian recipes? Which restaurant (s) on STT has, in your opinion, the most authentic food?

Arona Petersen wrote a good one. I don't know if it's still in print but check at Dockside Books.

Cuzzin's for the restaurant but I like Gladys' too.

I like Victors Hideout and Atlantic Seafood for West Indian restaurant food-
check at Dockside for that Arona Peterson book for sure
- there is also a Facebook page that is viewable called 'everything and anything virgin islands' that has great recipes and is a good resource as well.
Maybe RL who contributes here on this forum regularly and there on a frequent basis can supply the link - I don't know how to make those appear.

Hello:
This might sound bit odd, but Mandahl Market - has a deli.
In the deli - they cook local dishes and menu changes daily.
Food is wonderful.
Not too bad in price.
You can get it to go.
Small container is like $6.00.
large container is like $8.00 or $10.00. (not 100% sure as I always get small container - enough to last me two meals by myself.)
You can pick any item(s) you wish to fill the container.
I believe they cook at least 5 days a week, not sure about Saturday.
I know for sure Sunday, there is a BBQ next door.

Call Radio One in the morning 9 - 12 I think and ask Sam Topp. He discussed the local cookbooks on a show not that long ago. Sure he will share.
