Texas Embassy?

Howdy Y'all,

So I was driving up crown mountain road (the road in front of Nisky Center) to my house yesterday, and I took that narrow road shortcut to four corners, The road the you go straight on just past old mill. (I am so bad at directions here sorry) But just past the extremely narrow part of that road, on the left is a big Texas flag and a gold plate that says "Texas Embassy".

I know we have a large amount of Texans on this island, me being one of them, but do we really now have a Texas Embassy?

My thoughts are its just a sign in front of some crazy's Texan's house, As we are all crazy proud to be Texans.

I think its a really cute sign - and of course I love that lone star flag - but is it a real embassy?

anyone know?

Edit - I found out the name of the road - Scott Free Road.

Me Again -

So I've been googling Texas Embassy - I've found alot about the Texas Embassy Cantina. Do you think they could be starting a Texas Embassy Restaurant here?

I doubt it is a restaurant - as I'm sure we would have heard something about it.

"...is it a real embassy?"

U.S. States don't have embassies so presumably it's a joke.

Silly dntw8up -

You must not be from Texas - We consider Texas a country of its own!

Could it be part of the Texan Society?

A country of its own? Surely you meant un país sus el propios? 😀

I'd bet whatever it is it isn't part of anything organized but you might stop, introduce yourself and ask!

I haven't driven by it yet this week. I will be making sure I drive by today and stop.

My curiousity is killing me too.

I think I will bring a friend to go see with me. I wouldn't want some crazy shotgun guy to get me for tresspassing.

I will update you later!

ok. no word from you, donkeyusvi, and I'm still left wondering about the Texas Embassy. I hope this does not mean that you met some "crazy shotgun guy". What's up with the Texas Embassy?

Donkeys,

I drove past the "Embassy" today. Wow -- a brass plaque and everything!!! It looks very official.

Have you found anything out yet?

🙂

Great! It'll be nice to have an "ambassodor" join us. Tell him to bring fajitas. 🙂

I know that this is an old thread, but I met the owners of the "Texas Embassy" today. Nice people!

No, it is not a real embassy. Just Texans...

Although, being a formerTexan myself, perhaps we should try to make it a real embassy 🙂

I had to read this post because I live just up from there right now. I pass the sign daily. I was somewhat curious but also just assumed...which I dont do often that its someone from Texas showing their pride.

Laters!

LOL...I thought the place (Texas Embassy) was for sale!

If you drive out on Peterborg you will also see a sign that states "White House" as in Presidential too.

I've always heard a Texan is just a Mexican on the way to Oklahoma - don't make sense they would need an embassy here - it bein' so far out of the way an' all.

The house in Peterborg is where the Clintons stayed here while he was in office.

Texans do want their own country and, of course, we want them gone. So why hasn't this happened yet???
